Cruzando el Charco, a rock band from La Plata, Argentina, was formed in 2012. The group initially sought to blend various musical styles, including rock with candombe, cumbia, reggae, pop, and funk. Their debut album, Perdonar, released in June 2012, marked their first significant step into the music scene. This ten-track album was recorded at Argot Studios by MatÃas González Acuña. In 2013, Cruzando el Charco released their second EP, Renacer. The following year saw the release of their second studio album, Desde Adentro, which featured collaborations with notable bands such as Bersuit Vergarabat and Guasones. This period also included significant tours across Argentina's Atlantic Coast and various cities in Santa Fe and Buenos Aires provinces. In 2017, they released A Mil, followed by Lo Que Somos in 2019. These albums were accompanied by extensive tours that took them to multiple locations within Argentina and Uruguay. Notable singles from this period include "Libertad" (2013), "Terminales" (2016), and "Puede Ser" (2018). In 2022, they released Cicatrices, which included collaborations with Coti. The band's sixth studio album, Esencia, was released in 2024, featuring collaborations with Gustavo Cordera, Chano, Nahuel Pennisi, Facundo Soto, and La Kâonga. Cruzando el Charco performed the album in full on the live LP Esencia en Vivo, released in 2025.
