Biography

Nonpalidece, a reggae group from Tigre, Buenos Aires, was formed in 1996 by Néstor Ramljak, Diego Bravo, Facundo Cimas and Galo Llorente; Ramljak provided lead vocals and guitar. The band’s first breakthrough came with the independent release of Dread al Control in 2000, which introduced their roots‑reggae sound and spiritual themes. Subsequent albums followed chronologically: Nuevo Día (2004), Hagan Correr la Voz (2006), El Fuego en Nosotros (2009), Living Memory (2011), Activistas (2013), and Nonpalidece (2021). Notable singles include "Love Song" (2024). The group gained regional prominence through tours in Argentina, Costa Rica, and Mexico, and participated in festivals such as the First South American Reggae Festival (2000) and Vive Latino (2012). Collaborations featured artists like Brinsley Forde, Flabba Holt, and the Brazilian reggae band Ponto de Equilibrio. The 2006 album Hagan Correr la Voz earned a gold certification, marking a significant commercial milestone. In 2019 the single "Soy Latino" highlighted the band’s continued relevance. Nonpalidece’s discography reflects a steady output of reggae music rooted in spirituality, nature, and optimism, with each release reinforcing their presence in the Latin American reggae scene.
