Initially sowing the seeds for a rock band in their adolescence, Argentinian school friends Guido Covini and AgustÃn Panizza quickly took to writing their own original material, with Guido gradually finding his voice as a singer. Fast forward a few years and the group had recruited more members including Emilio Covini, settling on the name Parientes (The Relatives). Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2010, featuring guest vocals from Estelares member Manuel Moretti and producer MartÃn Bosa. By 2014, they had finished a second album, Actitud. Released via Pirca Records and showcasing a new spin on their contemporary rock sound, the LP resulted in one hit, âBailandoâ. The four-piece swiftly followed this up with a third album in 2016, Dejo Todo Por Vos, which rendered another successful single, âInviernoâ, a collaboration with La Berisoâs Rolando Sartorio. In October 2020, they returned with a third album, Compretiemposâtheir most successful to date. A string of charting singles from the project were released, including âProhibidoâ, âContratiemposâ and âTus Asuntosâ (featuring guest vocals from Basque star IZARO), each of which entered the Argentina Billboard Hot 100.
