Biography

Jóvenes Pordioseros is an Argentine rock band formed in 1993 in Villa Lugano, Buenos Aires, known for their raw energy and commitment to the rock and roll spirit. Initially struggling with lineup changes and limited resources, the band stabilized in the early 2000s, releasing their debut album Probame in 2002, followed by Vicio in 2004, which included the breakout hit "Descontrolado." Their third album, Sangre (2006), featured collaborations with Juanse from Ratones Paranoicos and gained critical acclaim for its socially conscious single "Todavía No Puedo Olvidarte," whose innovative video was highlighted by Rolling Stone Argentina. After a brief breakup in 2008, lead vocalist Cristian "Toti" Iglesias reformed the band in 2010, bringing a refreshed lineup and releasing Abstinencia in 2011, which marked their return to the scene. Their 2014 album Pánico showcased a new era for the band, blending classic influences with modern rock elements. It was followed by Late in 2017 and the live LP Viva el Rock and Roll in 2019.
