Biography

Crush 40, originally known as Sons of Angels, is a Japanese-American hard rock band formed in 1998 by guitarist Jun Senoue and vocalist Johnny Gioeli. The band gained prominence for their work on soundtracks for SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog series. Their first album, Thrill of the Feel, was released under the name Sons of Angels. After a name change to Crush 40, they released their self-titled album Crush 40, followed by the compilation The Best of Crush 40 - Super Sonic Songs, which includes remastered versions of many of their original tracks. The band contributed songs to several SEGA games, beginning with Sonic Adventure, including notable tracks like "Open Your Heart" and "Live and Learn."
