Biography

Crimson Moonlight, a Swedish black metal band from Jönköping, was formed in 1997 by Gustav Elowsson and Petter Stenmarker. Their debut release was the demo The Glorification of the Master of Light, followed by their first EP, Eternal Emperor, in 1998. The band signed with Rivel Records and released their first studio album, The Covenant Progress, in 2003. The band underwent several lineup changes over the years, including the addition of Jani Stefanovic for their second album, Veil of Remembrance (2004). In 2006, they signed with Endtime Productions and released the EP In Depths of Dreams Unconscious, which featured a re-recording of their first demo. The band went on hiatus in 2009 but returned in 2011, releasing the single "The Suffering" in 2014.
