Biography
Cowboy Mouth, an American rock band from New Orleans, Louisiana, formed in 1992. The group initially released independent albums before signing with MCA Records in 1996. Their breakthrough came with the release of Are You With Me? (1996), which featured the hit single "Jenny Says", reaching number 26 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and number 33 on the Billboard Alternative Rock chart. Following disappointing album sales, Cowboy Mouth was dropped by their label in 2000 but continued producing albums through independent labels. Notable songs include "Love Of My Life" and "Easy". The band performed a version of "Born to Run" on the Light of Day tribute album to Bruce Springsteen and several of their own songs on the soundtrack to the 1995 film The Underneath. In 2011, Cowboy Mouth was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
