Biography
Cor Veleno, an Italian hardcore hip hop group, was formed in 1993 by producer Squarta, rappers Grandi Numeri, and Primo Brown. Their first single "21 Tyson" was released in 1998 as part of the mixtape La banda der trucido. Cor Veleno released the album Rock 'n' Roll in 2001, which featured tracks used in the soundtrack of the film Ultimo Stadio. In 2004, they released Heavy Metal, and won the MC Giaime award for Best Lyrics and Best Song. They were invited to the Splash! Festival in Germany in 2005 as the only Italian rap group. In 2007, they signed with Sony Music and released Nuovo Nuovo. The album Buona Pace was released in 2010, debuting at number 84 on the official FIMI ranking. Primo Brown retired from the music scene in September 2014 due to health problems and passed away on January 1, 2016.
