Biography

Compact Disk Dummies, an electropunk band from Desselgem, Belgium, was formed in 2010 by brothers Lennert and Janus Coorevits. The duo, who handle vocals and keyboards, with Lennert also playing guitar, gained early recognition by winning the Music Live event and placing second at the Belgian edition of Kunstbende that same year. Their breakthrough came in 2012 when they won Humo's Rock Rally as teenagers, performing at Ancienne Belgique. In March 2013, Compact Disk Dummies released their first EP, Mess With Us, which included the single "The Reeling". The track reached Number 1 on Studio Brussel's De Afrekening list and stayed in the Flemish Ultratop 50 for six weeks. They performed at festivals like Lokerse Feesten and Pukkelpop that summer. In 2016, the band released their debut album Silver Souls.
