Biography
Hailing from Nice, the four members of Hyphen Hyphen have known each other since their school days. Santa (vocals) and Puss (guitar) were friends long before they met Zack (drums) and Line (bass) at Masséna high school. Rehearsing at first in their parents' living room, they eventually signed up for a musical springboard in 2009, and went on to play in increasingly larger venues, opening for artists such as Gaëtan Roussel and Lily Wood and The Prick. Now backed by a manager, they release their first EP in 2011, Chewbacca I'm Your Mother, and manage to play over 200 concerts with it. In 2012, they released their second five-track EP, Wild Union, confirming the hopes placed in the band, who are now awaiting their first full-length album. This, entitled Times, arrived in 2015, preceded by a new EP of the same name. At the same time, the quartet has forged a flattering stage reputation for its rare energy and sonic diversity, as witnessed by audiences at the Printemps de Bourges and Eurockéennes festivals.
