Biography

Chuwi, a Puerto Rican musical group formed in 2019 in Isabela, comprises Willy Aldarondo, Lorén Aldarondo, and Wester Aldarondo, who began writing lyrics reflecting the island’s protests and social issues. Their breakthrough came with the Pan EP released in 2022, followed by the Tierra EP in 2024, which included the single "Tierra"; the latter achieved platinum status on PROMUSICAE. A major step up arrived in 2025 when Chuwi collaborated with Bad Bunny on “WELTiTA,” a placement that also brought them onto bigger stages: that year they performed throughout Bad Bunny’s residency in San Juan and later joined him for a high-profile performance at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards that blended “WELTiTA” with “Tikiri.” They also kept their own release run moving with the 2025 single “Falta Algo.”
