Biography

Pedro Pablo Canale, who performs under the stage name Chancha Via Circuito, is an Argentine producer, DJ, and composer who was born in 1981. He began a professional music career in 2005 and is known for a musical style that blends electronic music with cumbia, incorporating elements of Afro-dance, murgas, and minimal dub. Since 2010, he has been recognized as a favorite artist of NPR's Alt.Latino. His discography includes the studio albums Rodante (2008), RÃo Arriba (2010), and Amansara (2014). He followed these releases with the albums Bienaventuranza (2018) and La Estrella (2022). Canale also released the collaborative album Pino Europeo (2018) with the accordionist Chango Spasiuk.
