Biography
Causa Sui, a Danish psychedelic rock band, was formed in 2004. The group consists of Jakob Skøtt on drums, Jonas Munk on guitars, keyboards, and electronics, Rasmus Rasmussen on keyboards and electronics, and Jess Kahr on bass. Causa Sui released their self-titled debut album Causa Sui in 2005, marking the beginning of a prolific career. Their sound is characterized by heavy stoner rock supplemented with abstract, instrumental, and ambient styles. Notable releases include Free Ride (2007), Euporie Tide (2013), and Szabodelico (2020). The band's 'Sessions' series, such as the Summer Sessions and Pewt'r Sessions, feature guest musicians and showcase their diverse influences. Despite infrequent live performances, Causa Sui has released live albums, inlcuding Live at Freak Valley (2014) and Live in Copenhagen (2017). They followed up with studio releases From the Source (2024) and In Flux (2025).
