Casey Abrams is an American musician and singer born on February 12, 1991, in Austin, Texas. He attended Idyllwild Arts Academy in California, where he studied classical bass instruction and improvisation before attending the University of Colorado at Boulder. Abrams gained national attention as a contestant on the tenth season of American Idol in 2011, finishing in sixth place after being saved from elimination by the judges. In 2011, he recorded the holiday track âBaby, It's Cold Outsideâ (2011) with Haley Reinhart. He signed with Concord Music Group and released his self-titled debut studio album, Casey Abrams (2012), which featured the single âGet Outâ (2012). He collaborated with the collective Postmodern Jukebox and released the independently funded extended play Tales from the Gingerbread House (2016). His subsequent studio albums include Put a Spell on You (2018), which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard Jazz Charts, and Jazz (2019), which reached number 2. He also issued the extended play Uncovered (2020).
