Biography

Carnival Art was an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. The group released their debut album Like Nobody's Business on vinyl through Spineless Voodoo Records that year. After a lineup change, they released the EP Dig in 1990 and their second full-length studio album Thrumdrone in 1991 on Situation Two Records. Their song "Mr. Blue Veins" from the album was featured in the MTV animated series Beavis and Butt-head. The band also released the EPs Wrestling Swamis Vs. Mr. Blue Veins (1991), Blue Food & Black Sparks (1991), and Holy Smokes (1992). In 1992, they moved to Beggars Banquet Records and released their third album Welcome to Vas Llegas. The band disbanded in 1993 after failing to secure another record deal.
