Cannabis Corpse, a cannabis-themed death metal band from Richmond, Virginia, was formed in 2006 by Philip "Landphil" Hall and Josh "HallHammer" Hall. The duo initially recorded a demo that became Blunted at Birth (2006), leading to their signing with Forcefield Records. Their name is a parody of Cannibal Corpse, and their album titles often mimic those of other death metal bands. In 2013, they toured Europe with Ghoul and signed with Season of Mist. Notable albums include Tube of the Resinated (2008), From Wisdom to Baked (2014), and Nug So Vile (2019). The band has featured members from Municipal Waste and Antietam 1862, with guest appearances by Randy Blythe and Chris Barnes. Cannabis Corpse also contributed to Six Feet Under's album Crypt of the Devil in 2015, with Philip "Landphil" Hall playing rhythm guitars and bass, and Josh "HallHammer" Hall on drums.
