Olawale á»lá»fá»rá», better known as Brymo, was born on May 9, 1986 in Okokomaiko, Nigeria. He is a singer and songwriter who began recording music in 1999 while still in secondary school. His debut album, Brymstone (2007), featured the single "Shawty" and was released independently. In 2010, Brymo signed with Chocolate City Records and released his second studio album, The Son of a Kapenta (2012), which included notable singles such as "Ara", "Good Morning", and "Go Hard". Following a controversial exit from the label in 2013, Brymo transitioned to Nigeria's alternative music scene. He released several critically acclaimed albums between 2013 and 2018, including Merchants, Dealers & Slaves (2013) and Tabula Rasa (2014). In 2020, he released the album Yellow and the EP Libel. Brymo has also ventured into acting and writing, starring in films such as Price of Admission (2021) and authoring books like Oriri's Plight (2018).
