Brassmunk was a Canadian hip hop group from Scarborough, Ontario, formed in 1997 by emcees S-Roc (Dwayne King), Clip (Jason Balde), May One 9 (Randy Brookes) and DJ/producer Agile (Ajene Griffith). Their initial breakthrough came with the independent release of their first EP, "One, 2" / "Stop, Look, Listen" in 1999. In 2006, May One 9 was replaced by King Reign (Kai Thomas). The group released several EPs and albums, including Dark Sunrise (2003) and FEWturistic (2007), the latter featuring collaborations with Kardinal Offishall and Moka Only. Their best-known singles include "Big" and "Oh Supaman." Brassmunk has been inactive since 2008. King Reign died of a heart attack in 2016, at age 40.
