Brad Strut, born in Yarrawonga, Australia, is a rapper who moved to Melbourne at age nine. He began his career in hip hop through break dancing and graffiti before releasing his first demo, Rock On, in 1993. In 1999, he collaborated with Trem One on the track "Basic Fundamentals" and formed the group Lyrical Commission. Strut's debut solo album, The Authentic LP, was released in 2001 on Obese Records, achieving sales of over eight thousand units without industry hype. In 2006, he released Legendary: The Official Mixtape under his label Peruvian Gemz and represented Australia at Hip Hop Kemp in the Czech Republic. His second studio album, Legend: Official, followed in 2007. Strut performed at major festivals including Livid Festival and Big Day Out, and toured nationally and internationally. In 2009, he released the package set Fallout Shelter EP and Rejuvenation LP.
