Bobby van Jaarsveld, born Pieter van Jaarsveld on March 6, 1987, in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa, is a singer-songwriter and actor. He started his professional singing career during high school, releasing his debut album Ken Jy Talina in 2005. Van Jaarsveld's breakthrough came with the album âN Duisend Ure, released in 2006, which reached gold status. In 2009, his second album Net Vir Jou achieved double platinum status, featuring hits like "Spieëltjie" and "Net vir jou." He continued to release successful albums such as Wat Geld Nie Kan Koop Nie (2012) and Maak 'n Wens (2014). Notable singles include "Middernag Serenade" (2012), which peaked at number 2 on the Maroela Media Afrikaanse Top-20 chart, and "Die Land" (2018), a collaboration with Steve Hofmeyr, Bok van Blerk, Jay, and Rohan du Toit.
