Mandry, a Ukrainian rock band formed in Kiev in 1997, was led by singer-songwriter Serhiy "Foma" Fomenko. The group initially played acoustic sets but evolved into what is now known as "urban folk music". Their first concert took place on December 24, 1997. Mandry's eclectic style, which combines traditional Ukrainian folk with modern rhythms and elements of reggae, blues, rock, and punk, quickly gained them a diverse following. Their first EP, Ð ÑÑалки(Mermaids), was published in 2000. The group's first full-length album, РоманÑеÑо ÐÑо ÐÑÐ¶Ð½Ñ ÐоÑÐ¾Ð»ÐµÐ²Ñ (Romancero About the Gentle Queen), was released the same year. Mandry participated in various festivals, including Rock-Kiev and Sziget Festival, and toured extensively across Europe. Notable releases include ÐоÑога (Road) (2006) and У ÐÑаÑÐ½Ñ ÐÑÑй (Live) (Journeys in the Land of Dreams Live) (2007).
