Peter Richard Miller, known as Big Boy Pete and Buzz, was born on May 26, 1942, in Norwich, England. He began his music career as a singer and guitarist with the rock & roll band The Offbeats, releasing an EP in 1958. In 1961, Miller joined Peter Jay & the Jaywalkers. Throughout the 1960s, he released several singles, including "Cold Turkey" (1968), which became sought-after collector's items. Miller toured extensively with prominent acts such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones during the British Invasion era. His recording studio in San Francisco captured the early San Francisco punk scene. Notable albums include Summerland (1997) and The Perennial Enigma (2006). In addition to his music career, Miller founded the Audio Institute of America and authored a debut novel, The Ice Cream Man, released in 2023.
