Big â¡ Brave is a Canadian experimental metal band from Montreal, formed in 2012 by Robin Wattie, Mathieu Bernard Ball, and Louis-Alexandre Beauregard. The trio initially played minimalist folk music before releasing their debut EP An Understanding Between People in 2012. Their first full-length album, Feral Verdure, was released in 2014, followed by Au De La in 2015, incorporating elements of drone and post-rock. In 2017, their third album, Ardor, featured guest appearances from Jessica Moss and Thierry Amar. Louis-Alexandre Beauregard left the group in 2018 and was replaced by Loel Campbell, who was later succeeded by Tasy Hudson. Big â¡ Brave released Nature Morte in February 2023, which was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize.
