Biography

Bell Witch, an American doom metal duo, was founded in 2010 by bassist Dylan Desmond and drummer Adrian Guerra. Their self-titled demo in 2011 secured a contract with Profound Lore Records. The debut album Longing, featuring guest vocals from Erik Moggridge, was released in 2012 and gained international acclaim. Bell Witch achieved notable recognition with the release of Four Phantoms in 2015, produced by Billy Anderson. Guerra left the band in 2016 due to personal issues and passed away from a heart attack in 2017. The album Mirror Reaper, released later that year, was dedicated to his memory and received high praise, being named one of the best metal albums of the year by multiple publications including Rolling Stone. Bell Witch continued touring extensively and released subsequent albums such as Future’s Shadow, Part 1: The Clandestine Gate (2023). Bell Witch also recorded two albums with Aerial Ruin, Stygian Bough: Volume I (2020) and Stygian Bough: Volume II (2025).
