Rebecca Jane Grosvenor Taylor, born 29â¯Juneâ¯1988 in Hammersmith, London, is an English pop singer who began performing at age seven in the Westâ¯End. Her early stage work and talentâcompetition victories led to a contract with EMI at age twelve, making her the youngest artist signed to the label. She recorded her debut album A Dream Comeâ¯True in 2001 at Abbeyâ¯Road Studios, followed by By Your Side in 2005. Taylorâs early releases charted internationally and she appeared at highâprofile events such as the Farm Aid benefit gala at the Royal Albert Hall and the FA Cup Final. In 2017 she released the club remix of "Deeper Than Us", which reached number 3 on the Musicâ¯Week pop charts and received support from Peteâ¯Tong and Tiësto. The single "My Mouth" was selected by Sir Elton John for his Beatsâ¯1 show in 2018. She issued the albums This Womanâs Heartâ¯.1 (2020) and This Womanâs Heartâ¯.2 (2021), the latter featuring BBCâ¯Radioâ¯2 hits "If I Could Ever Stop Loving You" and "Woman". In 2022 she began writing between London and Mexico City, releasing the bossa nova single "Colours Of Blue" and the followâup "Cubano", which peaked at number 17 on Mexican radio charts; her 2024 album Colours Of Blue consolidates her multicultural pop output.
