Biography

Art of Dying, an American rock band, was formed in 2004 by lead singer Jonny Hetherington and guitarist Greg Bradley. The duo soon added Chris Witoski on rhythm guitar, bassist Matt Rhode, and drummer Flavio Cirillo. In 2006, the band released their self-titled debut album Art of Dying on Thorny Bleeder Records. They gained early recognition when Classic Rock Magazine included their song "Completely" in its 2007 compilation. The band supported Seether on their UK tour and later signed with Reprise Records and Intoxication Records in 2009. Following lineup changes, Art of Dying released Vices and Virtues (2011), produced by Howard Benson and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. They embarked on the 'Avalanche Tour' performing 128 concerts that year. The band continued to tour extensively, opening for notable acts like Marilyn Manson and appearing at major festivals.
