Biography
Animal X, a Romanian pop/dance band, was formed in 1999. The group included Åerban Miron Copot (Hyena) on vocals, LaurenÅ£iu Penca (Worm), George Valentin Belu (Martian Boy), Lazar Cercel (King Goat), Alexandru Ivanus (Cricket), and Alexandru Salaman (Lizzard). Their debut EP, Animal X, was released in 2000. The band's album, Level 2, followed in 2001, featuring notable songs like "N-am crezut" and "Pentru ea", which topped the Romanian charts for several weeks. Animal X won multiple awards, including Best Dance Music at the Mamaia festival and Romanian Music Industry Awards in 2001. Their album, Sâmbure De Drac, was released in 2008. In 2016, the band released its final song, "Poate tine cu noi", before disbanding later in that year.
