Ana Johnsson was born on October 4, 1977 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her real name is Anna Lovisa Johnsson (also Jonsson). She is a Swedish singer in the pop and rock genre and is considered one of the most successful pop-rock artists of the early 2000s. Her career began in the early 2000s when she gained fame by taking part in the casting show Popstars and then became a member of the short-lived girl group Excellence. After leaving the band, she launched her solo career in 2003 under the stage name Ana Johnsson. Her debut album Cuz I Can is released in Sweden in 2004. This album was released internationally a few months later under the title The Way I Am. The single "We Are", which was recorded for the soundtrack of the film Spider-Man 2, brought her international breakthrough and reached the top 10 in the charts in several countries.
