Biography

Elin Birgitta Lanto, also known as Elin Lanto, born on July 22, 1984, in Litslena, Sweden, is a Swedish singer. She signed with Rodeo Records in 2001 and gained attention with her first single, "I Won't Cry", in 2004. In 2005, she released her debut album One, which reached number 25 on the Swedish charts. Lanto's second single, "I Can Do It (Watch Me Now)", spent fifteen weeks on the Swedish charts. She supported Amy Deasismont in February 2005 and participated in Melodifestivalen in 2007 with "Money". After experimenting with electronic/powerpop from 2007 to 2009, she released her second album, Love Made Me Do It, in 2010. Lanto later pursued acting, including roles in Zon 261 and Operation Ragnarök, before returning to music with a country folk style.
