Biography
Lillix was a Canadian pop rock ensemble from Cranbrook established in 1997. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop rock and for their debut studio recording Falling Uphill (2003) which achieved international success and sold more than 500,000 copies. The ensemble was founded under the name Tigerlily by the guitarist Tasha-Ray Evin, the keyboardist Lacey-Lee Evin, the bassist Louise Burns, and the drummer Sierra Hills. They achieved professional recognition for a career that began after they signed with the label Maverick Records in 2001 and changed their name to Lillix. Their recording career included the single "It's About Time" (2003) which reached number 33 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. Lillix achieved professional recognition for the song "What I Like About You" (2003) appearing on the soundtrack of the movie Freaky Friday. Their discography included the studio recording Inside the Hollow (2006) and the single "Sweet Temptation (Hollow)" (2006). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for a hiatus from 2006 to 2009 and releasing the independent studio recording Tigerlily (2010). The group became inactive in 2010.
