Allister, an American pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois, was formed in 1994 as Phineas Gage. The group gained initial traction with their debut EP You Can't Do That on Vinyl released in 1998 through Drive-Thru Records. Their first full-length album, Dead Ends and Girlfriends, followed in 1999. Allister's lineup evolved over the years, with notable changes including the addition of Scott Murphy on bass and Kyle Lewis on guitar. The band released their second album, Last Stop Suburbia, in 2002, featuring hits like "Radio Player" and "Overrated". They followed this with a cameo appearance in the film Sleepover in 2004 and the album Before the Blackout in 2005. Allister disbanded in 2007 following a farewell show in Chicago. The band reunited in 2010 and released Countdown to Nowhere (2010), followed by Life Behind Machines (2012).
