Biography

All Star United, formed in 1996 by Ian Eskelin, is an American Christian rock band known for its alternative rock and Britpop sound and satirical lyrics critiquing Western excesses. Their debut eponymous album was released in 1997 and established their melodic style, followed by International Anthems for the Human Race (1998) and the compilation Smash Hits (2000). The group later signed with Furious Records and released Revolution in 2002. After retiring from touring as Eskelin worked on other projects, the band later reunited and released Love and Radiation (2007) and The Good Album (2010). Hits such as "Smash Hit" and "Superstar" reached Number 1 on U.S. charts, and Eskelin received the Dove Award for Producer of the Year in 2008. Their music has been licensed for ABCâs The Evidence, the film Saved! and the Superbad trailer.
