Akemi Ishii (born August 26, 1965 in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture) is a Japanese pop singer and songwriter. Since then, she has gained popularity with songs such as "Hibiki ha TuTu" (1986), "JOY" (1987), and "Lambada" (1990). His albums include "Monalisa" (1986), "JOY" (1987), and "Tropical Night" (1990). She became a representative of the late 1980s with her singing based on dance music and pop music, and won major newcomer awards in her debut year, including the Newcomer of the Year at the 28th Japan Record Awards.
