Biography

Kaoru Yamaguchi (born July 5) is a Japanese singer from Katsushika-ku, Tokyo, who began her career in 1993 and is active in a wide range of genres including enka, songs, and ballads. Her former stage name was Kaori Aoki, and she is known for her distinctive husky, lustrous singing voice. When she first debuted, she appeared as "Kaori Aoki" with the single "Hayatatsu" and gained popularity as a purist enka singer. Later, in 2004, she moved to Nippon Crown as "Kaoru Yamaguchi. Her singles "Tsuki no Sunadori" and "Kono Sora no Shimo Anata ga Igarashi" were hits, and she gained support from fans of the popular song genre. 2010's "Jelasi" was also well received, and her husky voice proved to be very appealing. In addition to her musical activities, she is active in many other fields, including karaoke judge, voice actress, and TV host. She is also actively involved in music production, writing lyrics, composing, and arranging music under the name "Kaon-ring.
