Biography

Abdi Behravanfar, born in Mashhad, Iran, in 1975, is a singer known for his work in blues, country blues, and folk blues. At the age of 22, he moved to Tehran where he began learning guitar. He formed the band MUD upon returning to Mashhad. In 2011, Behravanfar relocated to London, where he collaborated with various blues artists and joined a British folk rock band. His debut album Shalamroud was released in 2008, followed by Kokheo & Kalakhet in 2009. In 2017, Behravanfar produced an album for Bakhshi Almajughi and a documentary about him that aired on BBC Persian. His albums include White Dwarf (2012), Sorrow (2013), Ejaze (2020), Tokhm E Talaa (2021) and VEL (2023).
