Biography

Sawyer Christopher Fredericks, born March  31,  1999, in Newtown, Connecticut, is an American folk singer whose career began on a family farm near Fultonville, New York, where he received early voice training at age eleven and performed locally. Sawyer Christopher Fredericks released his first independent album Out My Window on June 4, 2013, followed by the EP Sawyer Fredericks on November  28,  2015, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Folk chart. After winning season eight of The Voice in 2015-becoming the youngest male winner at 16-he signed with Republic Records and released the single "Moving the Sky" (September  20,  2013) and the album A Good Storm on May 13,  2016, which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Folk chart. He followed with Hide Your Ghost on March  30,  2018 and Flowers for You on May  1,  2020, both independent releases that received positive critical attention. Sawyer Christopher Fredericks toured extensively, including a 49‑show U.S. tour for A Good Storm and a 2021 tour with The Accidentals. His achievements include multiple top‑10 singles during The Voice, a record for digital sales.
