Biography
A Forest of Stars, an English post-black metal band from Leeds, was formed in 2007. The group took its name from a British gentlemenâs club that existed in Victorian England and adopted a mystical approach to their music, blending elements of black metal with classical music, psychedelic rock, and folk. Their debut release, The Corpse of Rebirth, was self-produced in 2008. A Forest of Stars gained significant recognition with their third album, A Shadowplay for Yesterdays, which was released in 2012 under Prophecy Productions' Sublabel Lupus Lounge. In 2018, they released their fifth album, Grave Mounds and Grave Mistakes, which reached number 81 on the German charts. In 2026, they returned with the acclaimed sixth album Stack Overflow in Corpse Pile Interface.
