Biography
NegurÄ Bunget, a Romanian black metal band, was founded in 1995 in TimiÈoara by Hupogrammos Disciple and Gabriel "Negru" Mafa. Initially known as Wiccan Rede, they released their first demo, From Transilvanian Forests, before changing their name to NegurÄ Bunget. Their debut album, Zîrnindu-sÄ, was released in 1996. The band's discography includes notable albums such as MÄiastru Sfetnic (2000), OM (2006), and Tau (2015). NegurÄ Bunget signed with Code666 Records in 2000, leading to a three-album deal. In 2007, they moved to Lupus Lounge, a sublabel of Prophecy Productions. The band faced controversy during their 2008 European tour due to allegations of nationalist views, which were denied by the label and the band. Following the death of Mafa in 2017, the band released their final album ZÄu in 2021, based on his unfinished work.
