Ye Min (born Kim Tae-eop on April 24, 1966, in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and composer. He first gained recognition in 1986 when he participated in the 10th MBC College Music Festival. However, his official debut came in 1990 with his self-composed album Ye Min 1st Album, featuring the hit song "A E I O U". He became widely known for his soothing melodies and heartfelt lyrics, with signature songs including "A E I O U", "The Love Story of a Mountain Village Boy" (1992), "The Day You Left Like a Sleeping Snow White" (1992), "The Words That Flowers Tell the Wind"(1992), and "Kiyora"(1997). Throughout his career, Ye Min continued to showcase his talent, releasing albums such as Yemin 2 (1992), Nostalgia (1997), My Tree (2001), and OPUS (2007), which combined remakes and new songs. Apart from his own music, he has composed notable tracks for other artists, including "Gwi-ro" by Park Sun-joo and "No No No No No" by Ha Soo-bin. Recognized for his contributions to Korean music, he has received accolades such as the 2002 Korean Broadcasting Award and a 2009 commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
