Biography

Lee Hyun Woo (real name Jessie Lee, born 6 March 1966 in the Republic of Korea) is a South Korean pop singer whose career began in the early 1990s. After training in vocal performance, he debuted with the album Black Rainbow on 21 January 1991, which introduced his melodic style to the Korean music scene. The follow‑up releases 꿈 Remix (1992) and Today......But For Someday (1993) established him as a consistent pop artist, while the 1996 album Let’s Go Fishing saw a shift toward more mature themes. In 1998 he released Both Sides of the Story and Freewill of My Heart, the latter achieving significant radio play and charting within the top ten of the national singles list. Subsequent albums, including Viru..s (2000), Free Your Mind & Body (2001), and Da Painkiller (2003), expanded his discography and led to appearances on variety shows and television dramas such as Cats on the Roof (2003) and Wedding (2005). In 2004, Lee released a series of singles, including "My Dianna" and "Don’t Stop", and continued to perform until the mid‑2000s, after which he focused on acting and culinary projects.
