Yandel, born Llandel Veguilla Malavé on January 14, 1977 in Cayey, Puerto Rico, is a reggaeton singer, songwriter, and producer who first gained prominence as one half of the iconic duo Wisin & Yandel, formed in 1998. Embarking on a solo career, he released his debut album Quien Contra Mà in 2003, followed by De LÃder a Leyenda in 2013, which achieved Platinum status and featured hits like "Hablé de Ti" and "Moviendo Caderas" with Daddy Yankee. His 2015 album Dangerous included the chart-topping single "Encantadora," certified 14à Platinum (Latin). In 2017, Yandel's #Update showcased collaborations with artists such as Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and Maluma. Continuing his solo success, he released The One in 2019 and Quién Contra Mà 2 in 2020, featuring "Yandel 150" with Feid. In 2021, he partnered with producer Tainy for the album Dynasty. His 2023 release Resistencia included tracks like "Te Acuerdas de MÃ" with J Balvin. In October 2024, Yandel unveiled his eleventh studio album Elyte, a project blending classic reggaeton with contemporary sounds, featuring collaborations with Tego Calderón, Myke Towers, Feid, and J Balvin, and singles like "Borracho y Loco" and "Háblame Claro." In April 2025, Yandel released SINFÃNICO (En Vivo), a live album featuring 29 of his greatest hits recorded with the Florida International University Symphony Orchestra. Later that year, Yandel kept the momentum of SINFÃNICO (En Vivo) going on both the charts and the road. In July 2025, his Feid collaboration âHáblame Claroâ reached Number 1 on Billboardâs Latin Airplay chart, while his 2024 studio album Elyte went on to receive a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Urban Music Album. At the same time, the Sinfónico concept grew from a one-off recording into a touring format, expanding through the United States and Latin America before reaching sold-out arena dates in Madrid and Buenos Aires and a featured appearance at the 2026 Viña del Mar International Song Festival. Yandel opened 2026 with another major release, his ninth solo studio album Infinito, issued on January 22 as a 17-track project that pushed his sound forward while pairing him with a younger and wider cast of collaborators, including Latin Mafia, J Balvin, Kapo, Xavi and Alex Sensation.
