Xorcist, an American electronic music group from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 1986 by Peter Stone. Initially a one-man act, Xorcist began with self-released demo cassettes that caught the attention of Don Blanchard, co-founder of 21st Circuitry label. The group's debut album, Damned Souls, released on January 1, 1991, marked their first release on 21st Circuitry and included multiple compilation appearances such as a cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in 1993. Xorcist's second album, Phantoms, peaked at number 22 on the CMJ RPM charts in 1994. By 1997, Xorcist included Evoltwin for vocals and cover art creation. The group went dormant after 2000 but re-emerged in 2017 with self-released instrumental compositions followed by the full-length album God in 2018.
