Digital Poodle, an electro-industrial/EBM band based in Toronto, Canada, was formed in 1986 by vocalist/programmer Heiki Sillaste. The band blended house and techno with EBM and experimental soundscapes. Digital Poodle released Soul Crush in 1991, followed by Work Terminal in 1992. They released the EP Combat! in 1997, which featured remixed material from previous albums. The band's lyrical themes often focused on political independence struggles in Eastern Europe and the Baltic states during the end of the Cold War. In July 2022, the group reunited for a one-off performance at Bombshelter Records' 35th anniversary event in Toronto, featuring original members Heiki Sillaste, Kristian Helstrom, Andreas Gregor, and Dave Rout.
