Biography
Maurizio Bianchi is an Italian electronic music artist who was born in 1955. Inspired by the music of Tangerine Dream and Throbbing Gristle, he began his musical career by releasing cassettes under the name Sacher-Pelz in 1979. He achieved a professional breakthrough with the studio album Symphony For A Genocide (1981), released on Sterile Records, which featured tracks named after Nazi extermination camps. In 1983, Bianchi withdrew from music to become a Jehovah's Witness but resumed musical activities in 1998 with the release of the recording Colori. His discography includes over 100 projects, notably the remix set Blut und Nebel (2005). He has collaborated with various artists including Merzbow and Atrax Morgue. His recordings include the studio albums Menses (1982), Neuro Habitat (1982), and Das Testament (1983).
