Biography

WU LYF, a Manchester rock band formed in 2008 by Ellery Roberts, Evans Kati, Tom McClung, and Joe Manning, cultivated an enigmatic image by refusing interviews. Their first release, the 12" single “Concrete Gold” / “Heavy Pop” in May 2010, set the tone for their “heavy pop” style, followed by the promotional CD single “Dirt” in June 2011. The self‑produced album Go Tell Fire to the Mountain was issued on 13 June 2011 through the L Y F imprint and peaked at number 98 on the UK chart; “We Bros” appeared on a 12″ single in September 2011. After a 2012 breakup, they re‑emerged in 2025 with the single “A New Life Is Coming” and announced a reunion. Their second album, A Wave That Will Never Break, was released on 10 April 2026, featuring singles "Tib St. Tabernacle", "Love Your Fate" and "The Fool."
