Biography

Wolke is a German pop music group originating from Cologne. The band gained initial recognition as "pop interpreters" for the radio station 1Live, translating English-language pop classics into German and reinterpreting them with minimal technical production, featuring Oliver Minck's vocals accompanied by bass, piano, and rhythm machine. Their debut album Sušenky was released in 2005 on Wallpaper Records, followed by Möbelstück in 2006. In 2012, Wolke released their final album before a hiatus, Für immer. After several years of inactivity, the band returned with a self-titled album in 2024 under the MusiKiste label, which included a cover of Blur's "Girls & Boys".
