Biography

Walking on Cars was an Irish rock band formed in 2009, originating from Dingle, County Kerry. The group initially consisted of Pa Sheehy, Sorcha Durham, Paul Flannery, Evan Hadnett, and Dan Devane, five school friends who began performing at local venues and clubs. In 2012, the band won the Redbull Bedroom Jam competition with their debut single "Catch Me If You Can", which reached Number 1 on the Irish chart and garnered over 450,000 views on YouTube. Following this breakthrough, they released their first EP As We Fly South in June 2013. The band's subsequent releases included the EPs Hand In Hand (2014) and Speeding Cars (2016), as well as their debut full-length album Everything This Way (2016), which peaked at Number 1 in Ireland and went double platinum. Their second album, Colours, was released in April 2019. In 2020, the band's single "Monster" was used as the opening theme for the Netflix series The Stranger. Walking on Cars announced their split in August 2020, coinciding with the release of their final EP Clouds.
