Crash Parallel was a Canadian alternative rock band formed in 2005 in Mississauga, Ontario. Vocalist Tim Edwards and guitarist Danny Saitua began writing songs together in 2004, eventually forming the band with drummer John Vitellaro and bass player Gary Rugala. Their breakthrough came with the song "Long Night Dreaming", featured on the drama Falcon Beach. The quartet gained traction through local gigs and online communities, leading to a deal with Sony BMG Music Canada. In 2008, they released their debut album, World We Know, which reached Number 1 on The Billboard Canadian Emerging Artist Chart. The band won the Canadian Radio Music Award for Best New Group of the Year in 2009. In 2011, the band released their second album Sunset in Reverse. After an indefinite hiatus began in 2013, Edwards expressed interest in creating new music in the future.
