Biography

Grizfolk, a Swedish-American alternative rock band, formed in Los Angeles in 2012 when Swedish producers Fredrik Eriksson and Sebastian Fritze met singer-songwriter Adam Roth. The group initially went by Griz Adams but changed their name to Grizfolk after the viral success of their demo for "The Struggle". In October 2013, they performed on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic and at the station's annual Masquerade Ball. Their debut EP, From The Spark, was released in 2014 under Virgin Records, featuring the single "The Struggle" and followed by their first modern rock single, "Hymnals". In 2016, they released their debut full-length studio album, Waking Up the Giants. Grizfolk supported Bastille on European and U.S. tours in 2014 and performed at various festivals, including Boston Calling Music Festival in 2015. Notable singles include "Troublemaker" (2015) and "Mercy" (2019).
