Biography
Von Hertzen Brothers is a Finnish progressive rock band consisting of guitarist Kie von Hertzen, singer Mikko von Hertzen, and bassist Jonne von Hertzen. Their debut album Experience (2001) was followed by Approach (2006), which won the Emma Award for Best Rock Album of the Year. The group followed with Love Remains the Same (2008), which opened at Number 1 on the Finnish chart and stayed at the top for three weeks. After signing a licensing deal with Universal Music in 2011, the band released Stars Aligned (2011), which was well received in the UK. Subsequent releases include Nine Lives (2013) and New Day Rising (2015). The single âFlowers and Rustâ (2013) won the Anthem of the Year prize at the Progressive Rock Awards in London. The group toured Europe and Scandinavia, supporting acts such as Opeth and Foo Fighters, and released the albums Red Alert in the Blue Forest (2022) and In Murmuration (2024).
